Separating What Matters. Powering a Sustainable Future.

Advancing innovative separation materials and technologies to enable the sustainable extraction, processing and recovery of critical energy materials.

The ARC Research Hub for Critical Energy Separation Materials (CREST Hub) is a collaborative initiative driving the next generation of sustainable technologies for the extraction, processing, and recycling of critical energy materials.

The CREST Hub addresses a crucial gap in our national knowledge: how we source, separate, use, and recover the materials needed to store, transport, and utilise energy. Through world-leading research and industry collaboration, the Hub is transforming the way critical minerals are extracted, processed, and recycled, helping to build a more sustainable and resilient future.

By developing innovative separation materials and technologies, the CREST Hub aims to strengthen Australia's position in critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy while supporting the transition to a circular economy.
